POOLEY WINES - Halliday 2023 Best Winery of the Year in Australia.

Introducing one of our favourite local vineyards. Pooley Wines is a multi-award -winning Tasmanian winery which has recently won the Halliday 2023 Best Winery of the Year in Australia.

The three-generation family winery is situated in the heart of the Coal River Valley, surrounded by postcard scenery. Pooley Wines emulates the best of what Tasmania has to offer – incomparable and industry-leading wine, coupled with an enviable family work ethic.


2022 has been an extraordinary year for Pooley Wines with the release of some of their latest award-winning wines. Anna Pooley, Chief Wine Maker, is an important member of Tasmania’s wine community and its third-generation winemaking family. Anna says her grandparents instinctively knew they were in a special place to create extraordinary wines.


The tail end of 2022 will see Pooley Wines release a suite of majestic wines including Heritage Range wines (Flagship) 2021 Jack Denis Pooley Pinot Noir, 2021 Butcher’s Hill Oronsay Pinot Noir, 2021 Cooinda Vale Oronsay Pinot Noir and 2022 Cooinda Vale Pinot Rose – a magnificent end to an extraordinary year for Pooley Wines.


Pooley Wines has been meticulous in their wine-making craft and now boasts two vineyards; Cooinda Vale in Campania and Butcher’s Hill in Richmond which was established in 2003. In addition, they have their stunning heritage-listed Georgian home, Prospect House, which is now a private hotel and restaurant.
